The Past
The Victoria Hotel was build in the 1850s in the heart of Keighley, what was a thriving Victorian mill town. The town initially produced cotton and then moved onto wool and the huge textile mills throughout Keighley and surrounding area provided huge economic wealth. This attracted commercial travellers into the town and did so for many years. The hotel adapted over the years to changing tastes offering dinner dances, live music and restaurants. However with the decline of the textile industry in the 1980s the popularity of the hotel declined and it ran as a pub until it sadly closed in 2012. Since closure the building has fallen into disrepair.
The Present
The building was bought in 2021 by a team of local property developers, Worth Valley Developments. They have taken it upon themselves to preserve and renovate this beautiful building and turn its fortunes around. Planning for 4 commercial units and 11 holiday lets was granted and the team appointed tintintin* Marketing to help get the community supporting the project. The team at Worth Valley Developments know that good marketing will be critical to the success of the Victoria project.
Since coming on board , tintintin* has gained lots of media coverage for the project including full front page coverage in local press and interviews on local radio. tintintin* has set up Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and produce regular output for @thevictoriakeighley which has generated much wider support for the project.
All the marketing work is done in collaboration with the Worth Valley Development group and their prospective commercial tenants whom are now officially signed up. These include a vinyl record store, artisan bakery, beauty salon and bar with micro-brewery.
Here is some of the media coverage I have obtained for the project:

The Future
The Victoria project is still very much “under construction” and there is lots of work to be done before we even open. The plan is for the Victoria to reopen later in 2022. Over time, the marketing focus will gradually shift to more focus on the holiday accommodation and generating bookings.
